Brought the husband for a relaxing Saturday brunch at Riders Cafe at bukit timah fairway drive

Private country club, free parking. If you get lucky and u can see horses getting their morning run..

The husband cuppa $4.20.. i tried a sip, this is good :)

We ordered their 2 specialities (mention in hungrygowhere.com)

Morning pancake $10

The cake was light and fluffy linger with mild fragrant of the milk...together with the chunky mulberry sauce, they made me love eating pancake again!

 Egg Benedict!! $12 The cafe signature dish, at least this is what the forum says.. was the husband first try on egg ben too.. he cannot resist and shine a satisfaction smile after he had his first bite.. =D

Wanted to get dessert initially but realize we are too full and it's too early to have thick chocolate sauce down our throat.. so we left, taking stroll around the place instead... shall come by for more..

California Huge Berries $5.80

One reason why i love staying in Tiong Bahru... the fruit wholesale near the train station always offer fresh and cheap choices.. They are HUGE! *mad love*

New York Meatball

A goes by my feeling dish... surprisingly it turn out well! :) My very own New York Meatball...

Meat: Marinate with black pepper, salt, onion, potato starch, spices for a day.. add in parmesan cheese and bread crump.. roll and squeeze them into ball.. coat with Kentucky fried chicken flour and pan fried it..

Sauce: Stir fried white button mushroom with Salsa (tomato, spring onion, onion, basil *if u have*), add in tomato puree.. stir fry for a min.. sprinkle some parmesan cheese to make the sauce thicker continue to stir for another 30 sec.. pour sauce over crispy meatball... Sprinkle some parmesan cheese to garnish

Total ingredient cost: About $6 for 2 person portion

Finally, i try cooking the signature dish from "Julie & Julia". Beef Bourguignon

This is everything you want to avoid when you talk about healthy food.. Humph.. So what's this? In short, we can summaries this as a thick chunky essence of red wine bacon beef stew.. there isnt any taste of the wine left after 2hrs of boiling/baking and whatever...

My beef bourguignon... alittle bit salty but overall i am quite satisfied with my result :)

Not forgetting tomato salsa bruschetta to goes with the stew
